Meerut is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Sadly, till today, Meerut does not have any animal rescue shelter or proper medical facilities for street animals which makes it difficult to rescue them and save their lives on time.
LetThePawRoar Animal welfare society came into existence on 30th August, 2020 with the aim of working towards the welfare of street animals in Meerut City.
Our mission is to provide food & water to the animals and get them sterilized to reduce the ever increasing population of street dogs in Meerut City. We also provide financial-aid to on-ground rescuers by raising funds for the medical bills.
So far, LTPR has been providing warm meals to 60+ street dogs everyday. 216+ street dogs have been sterilized. 75+ dogs have been treated against tumor, road accidents, infectious diseases and released back.
Meet the Founder - Pawni Singhal
Pawni is a graduate from Hansraj College, Delhi University. She always held a soft corner for all the animals around her but hardly did she know that one day she will form Meerut’s first Animal NGO. She has worked as an Event Manager and now organizes awareness & human-doggo workshops in Meerut City. She has been successful in planning & implementing Meerut’s first human-doggo carnival as well with the name ‘Petcom’.
